The Kingsway Centre is our city centre base. From here we deliver ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and Essential Skills classes.

Essential Skills
We can help improve your skills in reading, writing, spelling and working with numbers. All of which can help you:

  • Gain a qualification or gain confidence
  • Complete job application forms
  • Help your children with homework
  • Pass your driving theory test
  • Get the job you want

In our Improving English and Maths Skills classes you can learn the way you want to with your own learning plan. You can attend short sessions or work in small groups and there are opportunities for one-to-one sessions. You can also achieve a qualification if you need to. Students can work towards essential skills qualifications in Communication, Application of Number or ICT (using computers). The qualifications can range from the most basic level to  Level 2 (GCSE equivalent). These courses can be a first step back into education, can improve job prospects or simply help parents to support their children in school. All essential skills courses are FREE.  Please contact the Kingsway Centre to book a confidential one to one interview to discuss your requirements.

We also run much of our Work Based Learning provision from the Kingsway Centre.
