The NEBOSH Certificate in Construction Health and Safety meets the academic requirements for Technician membership (TechIOSH) of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH.)

This Level 3 course is designed to provide a sound foundation in environmental management. It is suitable for managers, supervisors and employees based in the UK, who have responsibility for managing environment issues, as part of their day to day duties. It is also suitable for environmental practitioners who wish to formalise their experience and progress their career with a formal qualification.

The NEBOSH National Certificate in Environmental Management will benefit learners who are seeking to gain a formal qualification in Environmental Management. It will allow the learner to understand the principles of managing environmental risk and implement effective environmental management systems in the workplace.

The course is suitable for people at all levels, in all sectors, who need training in the essentials of Health and Safety. The course is designed to introduce delegates to the importance of accident prevention, the accident investigation process and learning from failures in the workplace. Therefore, those with responsibility for Health and Safety would greatly benefit from attending this course.

On completion of the course delegates will understand the process and purpose of investigating accidents (incidents, cases of work related ill-health and other occurrences), the legal and organisational requirements for recording and reporting such incidents.

This course enables the successful candidate to be able to act safely and promptly in an emergency situation in the workplace. On completion of this training, successful candidates will be able to:

  • understand the role of the first aider;
  • assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly, and effectively in an emergency;
  • administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and
  • administer first aid to a casualty with minor injuries.
     

 

This course will give you a level of competence for first aid skills that meet the requirements for the Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981. 

 On completion of training, successful candidates will be able to:

  • understand the role of the first aider;
  • recognise and act upon first aid situations;
  • administer (CPR) cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
  • administer first aid to a casualty with minor injuries; and receive
  • free annual updates to keep knowledge and practice current and safe (2 will be needed between re-validation of your first aid at work qualification).

This course will refresh first aid skills. It complies with the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. This will also re-validate a first aid at work qualification.

On completion of training, successful candidates will be able to:

  • safely, promptly and effectively deal with first aid emergencies at work;
  • administer (CPR) cardiopulmonary resuscitation promptly and effectively;
  • administer first aid safely, promptly and effectively to a casualty, and receive
  • free annual updates to keep knowledge and practice current and safe (two will be needed between re-validation of your first aid at work qualification) .

The (PFAQ) Pediatric First Aid Qualification course is designed for parents, and people who work with children.

On completion of training, successful candidates will be able to:

  • understand the role of the first aider;
  • recognise and act upon first aid situations;
  • administer (CPR) cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
  • administer first aid to a casualty with minor injuries, and receive
  • free annual updates to keep knowledge and practice current and safe (two will be needed between re-validation of your first aid at work qualification).

The course includes training on adult (8+yrs), child (1-8yrs) and infant (0-1yrs) resuscitation mannequins.

This course provides practical and theoretical information on the proactive management of manual handling activities in the workplace. The assessment includes a practical element and demonstration as well as a multiple choice test.

The course is suitable for all employees and managers with responsibility / involvement in manual handling activities at work. This course does not cover the manual handling of people.

The CIEH Courses are nationally recognized and respected qualifications, designed and quality controlled by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

This ½ day course is designed for people who use or come into contact with hazardous substances in the workplace. The course will enable students to proactively identify hazardous substances and contribute to their safer use through the application of legislative standards and COSHH assessment.

The CIEH Courses are nationally recognized and respected qualifications, designed and quality controlled by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

This one day course introduces the concept of risk assessment in the workplace. It provides information on the importance of risk assessment as a proactive method of health and safety management and the practical application of risk assessment in the workplace.

The course is suitable for all employees and managers with responsibility / involvement in risk assessment activities at work.

The CIEH Courses are nationally recognized and respected qualifications, designed and quality controlled by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.

This course has been developed specifically for the waste management industry. 

The course provides basic knowledge and understanding of Safety, Health and Environmental Legislation and its application to the workplace. The course has been developed in line with Health and Safety Executive guidelines.

The course is appropriate for all those involved in waste related operation, including all levels of operative, supervisors and management.

On successful completion of this course, individuals will be registered on the Energy and Utility Skills Register database and issued with a SHEA (Waste Management) Card.  This card provides evidence that the learner has a minimum level of health and safety awareness that is appropriate to the waste industry.

The scheme is affiliated with the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) allowing utility workers access to CSCS controlled sites for the purpose of utilities work without the need to hold a separate CSCS card.
