
Electrical and Electronic Services QCF
This qualification covers the skills and knowledge in a variety of electrical and electronic activities including signal reception, consumer and commercial electronics and domestic appliance servicing.
This qualification allows candidates to demonstrate competence for those employed in job roles such as an electrotechnical engineer, electrician, electrical engineer, servicing engineer and achieve a recognised qualification.
The qualification comprises of three pathways:
- Signal reception
- Consumer and commercial electronics
- Domestic appliance servicing
From their chosen pathway, the candidates is required to complete all three mandatory assessment routes, plus the required number of assessment route(s)
Entry Requirements
Learners must be 16 and over and employed in an engineering / manufacturing environment.
Course Delivery
Assessment will be carried out in the workplace (unless otherwise specified) via observation and the collation of evidence in a portfolio.
Course Progression
The learner can progress to a higher level qualification dependant on job role.

Gower College Swansea is an approved centre to deliver the engineering and manufacturing NVQs.
All our engineering and manufacturing assessors are professionally qualified, occupationally competent and very experienced, having been employed in an industrial environment for a number of years. They have worked with SMEs and multi-national corporations assessing employees and identifying any training needs.
