Course Overview
People who like to learn in the workplace will prefer this method of study. The accountancy area has a specified framework including key skills and technical certificates.
Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Foundation (Level 2) *
Study units include:
- Recording income and receipts
- Marking and recording payments
- Preparing ledger balances and initial trial balances
- Supplying information for management control
Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Intermediate (Level 3)
Study units include:
- Maintaining financial records and preparing accounts
- Recording cost information
- Preparing reports and returns.
Duration:34 weeks | Qualification: Modern Apprenticeship | Level: Level 2/3
Delivery
The course is work based and assessed by examination.
*AAT qualifications are exam based and will require a pass at Level 2 in order to progress to Level 3. Classroom hours are six per week.

Employment in the business, finance or accountancy sector or progression to AAT Level 4.

Students will be required to join the AAT which will involve additional costs.
