Facilities Management - Certificate

Course Overview: 

The ILM Level 3 qualification in Facilities Management has been specially designed to help learners develop specific skills in facilities management alongside a wide range of leadership and management skills.

The Certificate in Facilities Management builds and broadens the skills and knowledge gained in a Management role. Learners complete four mandatory units and further optional units. Learners are guided to choose from a diverse range of optional units to build their qualification. From managing projects to understanding security, ILM Facilities Management qualifications can be fully tailored to meet the varying needs of learners across all employment sectors.

Entry Requirements: 

There are no formal entry requirements, but participants will:

  • Normally be either practising or aspiring facilities managers with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands.
  • Learners who are sponsored by their employers and those without such sponsorship are equally eligible.

M3.23  Managing health and safety at work

M3.44 Understanding facilities management within the context of an organisation

M3.45  Managing and developing relationships in the workplace

M3.47  Delivering service in the workplace

Optional units with a minimum credit value of 11

 

Progression Opportunities: 

Upon completion of the qualification learners will have developed broad leadership and management skills and specific facilities management skills.

Learners will explore ways to meet the needs of their customers, colleagues and key stakeholders, and identify, plan and evaluate the delivery of a facilities management service in their workplace.

All registered candidates automatically become studying members of the ILM for one year, free of charge, and can enjoy a range of member benefits accessible through the ILM website.

Studying members are encouraged to upgrade to the appropriate professional grade of membership to enjoy additional benefits which will support their career and personal development.

Successful candidates may benefit from career enhancement and/or progress to any of the further qualifications listed, according to their circumstances:

  • Level 4 Qualifications in Leadership and/or Management.
  • Level 5 Award in Management
