Leading Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice - Certificate

Course Overview: 

This is a new QCF qualification which is suitable for Internal Verifiers that Lead the Internal Quality Assurance within their area of work or as part of their CPD aspire to gain a qualification in this field. 

This course aims to provide underpinning knowledge and understanding, relating to the internal quality assurance of the assessment process, incorporating management theories.  Focusing on planning, allocating and monitoring work in own area of responsibility.  This qualification will be suitable for verifiers who have a Lead IV responsibility and who have already completed the verifier qualification.  

Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will have gained a nationally recognised qualification linked to their job role. Or Internal Verifiers who as part of their CPD wish to gain a further qualification in this field.  

Entry Requirements: 

You will need to be occupationally competent within sector of work with the relevant qualifications. 

Candidates will have to have been qualified Assessors and practising Internal Verifiers with the relevant qualifications of D32,D33,A1, V1, or QCF –Award/Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement and Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice Award.

Course Delivery: 

This one day course covers: 

  • Looking at the team roles & leadership style.
  • Activities relating to team dynamics.
  • Management theories relating to team working.
  • Discussion of relevant paperwork used by the Lead IV.
  • Discussion of how work is planned, allocated and monitored in own area of work.
  • Explanation of the QCF standards.
  • Looking at what types of evidence that can be used for the completion of the portfolio.

The course is delivered over one day, which includes group discussions and activities on the above. After the course has finished, you will be allocated an assessor who will support you whilst you compile your portfolio of evidence.

Progression Opportunities: 

You can progress from this course to QCF Management qualifications if applicable in job role.
