Art and Design students at Gower College Swansea will spend time with a renowned wildlife artist next week.

Andrew Evans’ visit to the Llwyn y Bryn campus is part of the Welsh Assembly Government’s Dynamo Project initiative, where inspirational role models spend time with young people in schools and colleges.

Specialising in fine art paintings and framing, Andrew's work is inspired and influenced by Welsh landscapes and wildlife.

During his visit, Andrew will meet with Art and Design students who are currently on the Level 2 Diploma course before progressing to the Level 3 Extended Diploma. He will talk to them about his career and how he has demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit within the field of art.

“Thanks to the Dynamo Project and the Youth Entrepreneurship Strategy we have been able to invite lots of inspiring professionals to Gower College Swansea to meet with students,” says Enterprise Education Manager Sue Poole. “As well as talking about their personal journeys, they have held workshops and Q&A sessions, which really help to motivate students and encourage entrepreneurial thinking.”

A series of Dynamo guest speakers are scheduled to visit Llwyn y Bryn over the coming months to talk to students about their respective industries.
