First step to coaching for sporty students

Sport students from Gower College Swansea have taken their first steps along the path to becoming certified football coaches.

The students recently participated in the Football Leaders Award course, run by Rob Thomas, Welsh Football Trust Development Officer for Swansea, and Ashleigh Hopkins (college lecturer and Welsh Football Trust Tutor.)

"The course has equipped them with the skills and confidence to go into local schools and clubs, where they can complete volunteer hours before gaining their certificates,” says Ashleigh.

The course took place at Pitchside, Cwmdu Industrial Site.
