Welsh for Adults exam success

Gower College Swansea’s Welsh for Adults students are celebrating another fantastic set of summer exam results.

The Intermediate level course saw a 100% pass rate, with half of those students gaining distinctions.

On the Entry and Foundation level courses there was an overall 91% pass rate, with half of those passing the Foundation course achieving a distinction.

“The exams consist of speaking, writing, listening and reading so every aspect of the students’ knowledge of the language is tested,” says WfA Coordinator Llinos Davies. “We are all very pleased with these results, which are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students.”

Singled out for special praise this year are Elizabeth Jarvis, Louise Ryan, Ryan Bowen, Helena Rees and Sian Morgan who gained distinctions in the Foundation exam and Carl Huntley who gained a distinction in the Intermediate exam.
