Gower College Swansea GCSE results 2012

Students and staff at Gower College Swansea are celebrating this year’s GCSE exam results.

Of 419 separate exam entries, 60% achieved an A* - C grade with a massive 99% receiving a pass rate in the A* - G grades.

Language students have performed particularly well again this year. 43% of GCSE Spanish students and 75% of French GCSE students received an A* grade.

“I am very pleased with these results and would like to pass on my congratulations to the students,” says Principal Nick Bennett. “Many of our GCSE students are part time and juggle their studies with career and family commitments, or have returned to education later in life, which makes their achievements even more remarkable.”

Gower College Swansea offers a range of GCSE courses for learners who wish to take re-sits or who simply want to study a new subject.

Any school pupils who are disappointed with their GCSE results this year are urged not to panic. Staff from the college’s Student Services team are on hand to provide advice and guidance and anyone who is unsure about what to do next can drop in to discuss their options.
