
Training for financial services sector
Gower College Swansea recently held a business breakfast event specifically for professionals working within the financial services sector.
The event, which took place at Sketty Hall, focused on a range of vocational and academic qualifications accredited by the IFS and City & Guilds.
Guest speakers included the college’s Chair of Governors Colin Cornelius, Suzy Davies AM, IFS Relationship Director Michael Nicholls and Principal Nick Bennett. Employer Account Manager Sharon Lewis also presented on the benefits of the qualifications to employers.
“The event was a great success and the feedback we've received from the delegates has been extremely positive,” says assessor Jacqueline Standley. “We’re now looking to further develop our financial services delivery across Wales.”
This project is partly funded by the European Social Fund.
Gower College Swansea is working in partnership with Neath Port Talbot College, Pembrokeshire College, Coleg Ceredigion and Coleg Sir Gâr to deliver the Skills for Industry project.
