Digital Home Technology Integrators - Certificate
This course focuses on the convergence in technologies between traditional home entertainments, for example, television and computing technology. It is now possible to watch films streamed from the internet on the main household television, email, facebook, along with many other features are now a real possibility.
The course investigates such technologies and provides the candidate with the skill set necessary to make the technology achievable in most domestic situations. Wireless technologies and networking technologies are also explored.
This exciting new course will provide a skill set for individuals and companies alike to develop new business streams.
Entry Requirements
Entry requirements would include some electronic qualifications including aerial training for those who are RDI trained. Computer qualification would also be advantageous.
Course Delivery
The course is assessed via an on line test and various practical classroom assessment including the set up of a real state of the art home technology centre. This includes 3D television, surround sound, internet protocol television convertors.
Course Progression
This qualification can lead to a Level 3 qualification in the same discipline currently being developed.
Additional Information
The course will provide opportunities to attend guest lectures and presentations from sector leading companies.
