
Italian GCSE
This course is for people who already have some knowledge of the language and is not for beginners. Ideally, you should have studied the language for at least one year. However, if you do not hold any formal qualifications in the language but wish to enrol on the course, you should contact a member of the language department for advice prior to enrolment.
This is a one year course for students who wish to develop a deeper understanding of Italian society, language and culture. It also aims to develop overall competence, communication skills and grammatical knowledge in Italian, and to act as preparation for anyone wanting to continue their studies at A-Level. However, above all, the course is for anyone who loves Italy and Italian.
The course will be structured around the following topics:
- Lifestyles
- Leisure and holidays
- Home and environment
- Work and education
Entry Requirements

Course Delivery
Controlled assessment (for speaking and writing) and end of year exam (for reading and listening)
