
Creative Media
Course Overview
This course forms a foundation in the Creative Industries. Students study the major creative subjects of Art and Media throughout the year alongside other important life skills such as ICT, literacy and numeracy.
This course is taught in a very supportive manner and recognises that students often flourish in an environment which is different from school. This course offers an introduction to a range of practical skills in art and media. Students will take part in music video, art and photography projects designed to build personal, creative and technical skills.

Delivery
Assessments on the course are carried out on students’ ongoing project work. This course is 14 hours a week over three days.
Requirements
Entry requirements are a number of GCSEs at D-G grade or above but we do look at every student individually to assess potential.
Prospective students are always interviewed and are encouraged to bring any examples of creative work with them to interview.
Progression
Students generally choose to specialise in one of the creative pathways and progress onto a Level 2 Diploma course in Art or Media.
