Art and Design graduation exhibition, 20 - 28 June

Graduating Art and Design students from the Llwyn y Bryn campus are holding an end-of-year exhibition to showcase their work.

Photography, Fashion, Graphic Design, Ceramics and Fine Art is on display at the Grand Theatre Arts Wing until 28th June.

“This event is a massive celebration for our Art and Design students from the Level 3 Extended Diploma, Level 2 First Diploma and Access courses,” says lecturer Susanne David. “It’s really the culmination of all their hard work during their time at college and is a fantastic testament to their talent and drive.”

Among the students exhibiting is Alex Pike, who is heading to Bournemouth to study BA (Hons) Fashion Studies.  When not designing and cutting garments, Alex is also conquering the world of dance, appearing on Sky 1’s Got to Dance and holding numerous UK and international dance championships titles. 

“Alex has managed to juggle his dance career with his studies and has produced some interesting pieces,” adds Susanne. “He has often been jetting off around the globe with his dance but has always managed to return to us - often bleary eyed – but ready to create some very technical and challenging garments.’
