College introduces innovative new User Centred Design apprenticeship

Gower College Swansea is delighted to announce the availability of a brand new User Centred Design apprenticeship pathway. This new route has been designed to meet the needs of employers and skill gaps in the local area, allowing learners to gain nationally recognised qualifications whilst working and learning.

The apprenticeship, which will cover the more commonly known topic of UX, will develop learners’ ability to use data to create highly accessible websites and applications. It is primarily for those who have a responsibility for designing websites, applications and other interactive software in the workplace.

Gower College Swansea is the first and only provider offering this new apprenticeship at Levels 2, 3 and 4, which is accredited by Agored Cymru and offered at degree level by the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.

To celebrate the launch of this new apprenticeship, a launch event is being held at Sketty Hall Business School on Thursday November 23, 9am – 11am.

The event will provide an opportunity to learn more about User Centred Design directly from our subject experts, with refreshments provided. Attendees can attend in-person, or virtually through Teams.
