Six students make national finals

After an intensive round of heats, Gower College Swansea is delighted that six students have made the WorldSkills UK National Finals. They are:

Tarran Spooner, Faroz Shahrokh, Rhys Lock – Industrial Electronics
Callie Morgan – Graphic Design
Georgia Cox – Laboratory Technician
Cameron Bryant – Foundation Skills: Restaurant Services

They will now take their places alongside over 400 other talented students and apprentices at the National Finals on 14-17 November.

The finalists will compete in over 50 different skills competitions ranging from digital construction, health and social care and additive manufacturing to metal fabrication and cyber security.

“We are so proud of all our participating students this year and huge congratulations to these finalists,” says Dean of Faculty and Skills Ambassador Cath Williams. “Their hard work has really paid off and now they can start focusing on the challenges ahead in November, what an exciting opportunity for them to show off their skills alongside the best of the best.
